Quackers! Did you know that by playing the game right, you can achieve financial independence? That means you could retire earlier than the average, or you could “live to work” rather than “work to live”. BlackRock’s mission is to help people achieve their financial goals. We need your help in this year’s hackathon!

We challenge you to come up with a solution to introduce and educate students to the world of personal finance. Financial wellbeing, at the end of the day, comes from making the right financial decisions – which you can’t make without having good financial knowledge!

This could be anything from a game that simulates someone’s financial decisions in their day-to-day, an interactive trading platform that helps someone with little to no financial knowledge make the right financial decisions, to a visualisation tool that helps other students better understand the power of compounding and the importance of passive retirement pots.

Marks will be given for creativity, as long as you can justify your technology solution being of benefit to financial education and financial wellbeing. Your team will be competing for a Nintendo Switch per member of the team! Find below a few example resources, but feel free to go beyond these with your own.
